Case Converter

Convert any block of text between the most common letter-case styles. Useful for cleaning up pasted headlines, normalizing slugs, or fixing a file that arrived in ALL CAPS.

Output — Title Case

How it works

Pick a target style and the whole input is transformed. Title case capitalizes significant words; sentence case capitalizes only the first letter of each sentence; kebab and snake variants replace spaces with hyphens or underscores and lowercase everything.

Common ways people use it

  • Turning a pasted heading into proper title case
  • Normalizing a column of names before importing to a spreadsheet
  • Creating URL-friendly slugs from post titles
  • Converting variable names between conventions

Frequently asked questions

Which small words are kept lowercase in title case?+
Common English articles, coordinating conjunctions, and short prepositions (a, an, the, and, but, or, nor, for, of, to, in, on, at, by) stay lowercase unless they start the title.
How is sentence case different from title case?+
Title case capitalizes most words in a heading. Sentence case capitalizes only the first word of each sentence and any proper nouns, which looks more natural in body copy.
Does the tool touch my original text?+
No. Conversion happens on a copy; the input stays untouched so you can try different styles without losing the original.
